yuh Posted April 20, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 20, 2013 I'm in the process of installing an electronic fuel pump, and the only green wire routed in the back is this guy: The previous owner must of done this splice and attached it to the black wire to the fuel gauge reader. The yellow electrical tape looks suspcious, like it did not come from the factory. Can anybody help me confirm if I should undo it and use it for my + for my electronic fuel pump? I have not jumped the green wire in the passenger side yet, so there's no concern for shorts. Thanks! Captain_Zeros Posted April 20, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 20, 2013 I'm pretty sure that green wire and black wire plugged into each other are the +12v and ground for your fuel pump, respectively. They're probably stuck together to stop the plugs from getting full of road debris. Captain_Zeros Posted April 20, 2013 Share #3 Posted April 20, 2013 Here's a nice blurry picture at a funny (upward from the ground) angle from the wiring in the back of my mid-73 240z that had a fuel pump in it when I got it (but not the jumper in the cabin to power it, go figure.)
