240k Style Posted April 29, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 29, 2013 Anyone else thinking of going down this path? Seems an easy way to have a fairly new bullet proof LSDTranny & Rear Diff PartsIt's the ones from the Hybridz forums and Kev from JNC Hakosuka fame has them as wellI'm thinking easy way to get a good LSD in the gearing i want (3.9) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/46407-r180-sti-clutch-lsd-side-axles-swap/ Share on other sites
Hoybo Posted April 29, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 29, 2013 Correct me if I'm wrong, but we need longnose R series diffs, are subaru diffs long or short nose? 240k Style Posted April 29, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted April 29, 2013 If C110 are the same as S30 zed diff then it's a straight swap. Apparently same goes for 510's. I'm not too sure that's why I'm asking. It's almost a straight bolt in to an S30I believe it's long nose Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/46407-r180-sti-clutch-lsd-side-axles-swap/#findComment-421962 Share on other sites
Hoybo Posted May 9, 2013 Share #4 Posted May 9, 2013 Done some more research, using a all the pictures I've seen indicate long nose set up.Need the change the input shafts (25 to 27 spline), we in Australia are lucky, some NA S13s, U13 AWD Bluebirds, use 27 spline 4 bolt CV shafts that fit perfectly (apparently). Otherwise you need to change dust caps etc etc.I'll do some more research, could turn out cheap being as we are in Australia.
