HI ther ya'll! What's the word?

I just got another engine for my car. I was thinking of rebuilding it. It's an l24. I was thinking about putting in an l26 rotating assembly with an e31 head. Is this possible? Will the valves on the e31 hit the pistons? Has anyone ever tried this? I wonder what the compression ratio will be. I would figure try to figure it out, but i can't find the cc's of each head.

Any ways, let me know what ya'll think.

Ok I'm not sure what the word is but here's my reply.....

Ok by rotating assembly do you mean crank??? If so it would probably be easier to get a L26 bottom end or L28 block. If you do go for the F54 block and stick the E31 engine head on there.

You will require some machine work to make it fit the larger bore.

Compression should come up to about 10:1 maybe more with an E31.

Very useful program.

My car runs a E88 Head F54 block at 10:1 compression ratio. It's been given ZX valves etc... Goes nicely

Hey Mike if you read this post, maybe you could add this program to the download section here. I could not find it when I looked under downloads so maybe it's there and I'm blind.

Otherwise it's located at the above link :classic: .
