Hi All

Recently acquired my first 240Z, and I am just looking to get some history surrounding it (or maybe just other cars of its age).

Its an HS30 (RHD) with a VIN number of #193 making it a fairly early 240z. According to my newly delivered V5 (previous owner had it on a private plate), the Date of Manafacture is 01/01/1970, although having looked on the numbers on the ZHome it is likely to be later than that.

As a result of its early age, it has been given a historic age related plate of H which is 1969 in the UK.

Its been heavily modified during its life. Its believed to have been owned by a member of a club rally group in Aus before it was imported to the UK in 05 (I believe).

Can anyone help clarify when roughly it might have been manafactured?

Thanks

Anton

Hi Anton:

What is the original engine serial number for your Z? From my notes I'd say your car was most likely built in 09 or 10 or 1970. Engine Serial Number should fall in the range of L24-17xxx to L24-21xxx.

FWIW,

Carl B.

Hi All

Will the original engine number be stamped in the car anywhere?

As expected the engine number on my V5 (L24-050113) relates to the engine it came to the UK which would appear to be a later engine swapped in during its life as a club rally car
