Here's a link if you ever need to replace your choke cables.  I did mine several years ago and it made a big difference on how smoothly it operated.

It's this little plastic switch with a small button that moves in and out in relation to your choke handle arm. All the way foward shouldn't have any contact with the button, therefore turning the light off. Make damn sure there's no contact with the handle and the little button when it's pushed foward (no choke) and you should be good.20241112_180041.jpg

Where exactly is making contact when the lever is all the way closed? I thought that tightening the upper screw could solve this. Maybe some electric contact cleaner or wd40 can help? Anyone?

Look at this. If the button isn't being pushed in enough you could use small flat washers on the back side of the hold down screws, "stacking" to make up the needed space. It's not easy to do and you could break things that are expensive. The electric cleaner would not hurt but I don't think it will fix your problem. Good luck!

Ill check on that as i hate that light coming on when i step on the gas. Too sensitive. Guess its a bad design also.
