Another thing that was available at Nissan was the fusible link covers.  They were a few bucks at the dealer and about four times that on eBay.  Pretty much every Z that has fusible links needs new ones after they all cracked from age.

True. But I have removed the whole fusible link assembly in favour of a digital fuse block

That sounds like that would be a great place to wonder around a little!

Yeah, but I don't think my wife would let me lose in there, since I have collect a lot of just in case parts over the years, but I can still dream about it....

What if someone had a spread sheet with all the Z part numbers from carpartsmanual.com? There is only about 17,000 or so.... Shirley your Nissan parts friend could put those in manually and see what pops up, right?

That’s what he does now. It takes a few different screens to do each one apparently so it takes way too long to be efficient. Basically he would need a full time person to enter the data. Which Nissan doesn’t care to do. And it is sensitive pricing info so they won’t let just anyone do it for them.

Mark, I have never seen anyone do powder coat in sections with applied heat the way you do but seems like you have it down to a science, it's very impressive,  you could powder coat the entire car with your technique. The "paint" would be tough as nails.
