Great point about the friendly folks here.

Compared to what zcar.com has become and what HybidZ has always been, you make a great point.

Mike you should update the header on the page to:

Boy do I agree with you on this Blue. I don't even go to zcar.com anymore. Not all of the members are bad though...thought I better say that.

I used to be a member ar zcar, but there were too many bad attitudes between alot of the people that posted. Now the only reason I even go to site is to look at tech tips if I cant find it here. I dont have alot of history with Hybridz,,because alot of the members there have modified thier Zs to run V8s or changed them from the stock vehicles we all love so much. Luckily. my wife understands that my Zs are the only mistresses I will ever have.and shes OK with that, which is good because Ive got 21 years invested in this one, and its a little late in my life to go find another woman who could put up with me and my love for these cars. Hey, I heard a rumour that nissan was kicking over idea about bringing back into production the original Z car, with up to date engine and drivetrain, and Ime not talking about the 350 or 370 Z either. Does anybody know if there might be a shred of truth to this?

I have an account on Hybridz and Zcar and managed to survive reativly unscaved so far. I don't post much, but what I do I tripple check for noobiness before hitting "post". Hybridz is so unforgiving.

Here I can babble all I want and seem to be ignored or tolerated, Whatever it is I like it here.

Well, the problem came back, but I fixed it for sure this time. I was out of state for a bit,and had to go in someone elses car. I got back last week and it drove fine first day.The next day. I felt it hiccup, but it kept runnihg. I pulled into 7/11,shut it off,and went in.When I came out it wouldnt start. I popped hood and saw a fine stream of fuel shooting from a rubber hose connecting fuel rail together.[3 or 4 piece  280z fuel rail] I taped split hose, and she started and made it into driveway, then it died. It would start, run for ten to fifteen seconds, then die. 5 minutes later it would start, run for 10 to 15 seconds, then die again. The last thing I had messed with was AFM TO GET IT RUNNING LAST TIME, BUT NO LUCK THIS TIME. iTHEN REPLACED FUEL RAIL WITH 1PIECE 280ZX fuel rail.I went back through this thread, and since I was still not getting power to pump or AAR,IT MADE ME THINK OF FUSIBLE LINK ON FENDER WALL. In fact, this was ZedHeads next best guess as to problem. Well, I had everything to perform 280z fusible link upgrade to an AGU fuse system. Once I completed that,it started right up,and I drove it for 2 hours steady with no problems. I also used ZedHeads tip on connecting condensor  to negative side of coil to make tach operate correctly, and that also solved my tach problem I had been experiencing since switching to GM ignition module. So I think that the advice ZedHead gave me was responsible for the solution to my problem, but thanks again to everybody that replied and offered thier help.

Excellent. Glad you found the issue! It's so nice when you really confirm that you found the real problem instead of just waiting for the problem to come back again. It sounds like you nailed it this time.

I'd vote for Zed as well, but my polling place is even farther than Timbuk2. I'm not sure my Z would make the trip.
