REAP_ Posted April 11, 2015 Author Share #14 Posted April 11, 2015 Okay thanks for the help everyone. I ended up opening up the AFM and seeing if the previous owner had tampered with it at all and of course he had. The AFM was set for a rich fuel mixture. I ended up fixing that and the car is Running better. As for the problem with cylinders 3 and 6 yes the spark plugs do have combustion deposit and raw fuel on them. Also I did put new fuel into the car instead of running what was in there. FastWoman Posted April 14, 2015 Share #16 Posted April 14, 2015 I'd go ahead and replace the plug wires as a first step. Bad wires can give you a weak spark and misfiring/stumbling under load. If that doesn't clear the problem up, then consider your injectors. I've had very good luck cleaning fuel varnish with Chemtool B12. TomoHawk Posted April 14, 2015 Share #17 Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) I keep an "emergency box" of stuff, such as a set of new, premium sparkplug wires, cap & rotor, spark plugs, coil, etc. I didn't get it all at once, but bought things with the spare cash. I only use it temporarily to diagnose a problem, or for emergencies, so most of it has only been used for a few minutes.
