Hello everyone.

Before I put the dash in, I wanted to do the HVAC system. As usual everything is scattered and I have no hardware. My questions:

-Bolt sizes for the Heater and A/C system?

-Can I install the A/C system at a later time?

-best way to refurb the HVAC parts(blower motor assy box and heater core, condenser units), should I degrease and wash out?

-Foam recommendations for the blend door and such?

-Is black duct tape to seal little cracks in the vent tubing?

Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Common metric thread size on the bolts holding in the unit.

YES- wash that puppy down.

I used foamed back headliner stuff from Joanne Fabrics and glued it down good.

Lube up any hinge points.

Vent tubes can probably be found cheap enough used to replace bad ones. I have a few extra.

AC can be done afterwards

I like the foil backed duct tape.

Wash all piping.  Vinegar kills mold.

Seal everything.

Lubricate all moving parts and cable internals.

Thanks!

I documented my HVAC installation.  The AC is still work in progress but i finished all of the in-dash parts

Thanks for this, this is exactly what I was looking for. Since I don't have that much time with college and such, I prefer to buy everything online or Amazon and get the parts and go straight to work. This to me is better than spending half of a day running to stores looking for stuff.
