Mike was the " spell checker " coding recently turned off on the Forum replies?

I have automatic spell checking turned on in FireFox 40.03, and it recently stopped working on this site. Drove me nuts as I thought it was a general FF issue and spent the last two days troubleshooting.

Turns out it still works fine in other forums and it used to work fine here.

Trying this again on a Win7 PC using IE 11.  Speil check seims to be wrking.

It will highlight the misspelled words in red, but, it's up to you to right click and accept the suggested word.  Some of the words are automatically updated but not many...

Mike, I've done some more research and it looks like it may be a weird problem with the latets FF update ( 40.03 ). There's a Bug handling Language packs and " some " Websites ( not All ) cause the default US English Langauge pack to revert to UK Englsh Language pack. This temporarly " breaks " the built in Spell Checker which only works with the US Language pack Dictionary.

Hopefully a future upadte will fix the " Bug " I do wish thye would stop " improving " FF and leave it alone!!!

( I don't like Chromes GUI and I will not use IE ).

BTW. OS is Win XP Pro 32 bit on my laptop. ( Engine diagnostics so I need an OS that will handle 16 bit programs. ) Desktop sytem is Win 7 64 bit, but I'm on Holidays right now and can't check it. I expect that FF would have the same issue on Win 7 though.
