Hello Mike.  I know that you're probably finessing and fine-tuning the appearance of the site's pages, fitting all of the stuff on a page that needs to be there, but the pages are taking quite a while to settle down while loading.  A page will come up and look like it's done, then it will jump up or down, a new little widget/ad will load up, it will jump again, on and on until finally I can scroll up or down to what I want to see.

Can you find a way to get the page to go to where it should go, then stop, while all of the extra stuff loads up?  Then I can read, even though I won't be able to post.

Thanks.

I don't know.  Whatever the default would be, probably.

It hasn't been bad recently.  Maybe the latest round of Windows updates smoothed things out.  It's all about those ad eyeballs.

I think we're all just bystanders, really.  I still use the basic Chrome package which used to have some basic ad-blocking.  But now I see that no ads are blocked at all.  This page I'm on now is chock-full of ads for travel, car parts, car-leasing, insurance.

Some web-sites have even managed to get their autoplay sound ads to run, and some have even managed to get autoplay videos to work.

I just wonder who these people are that say "thank you for blasting through my reverie even though I've explicitly asked you not to, I think that I'll buy your product and reinforce this crappy behavior".  There must be some feedback that shows it works.

I've been on the internet since it started.  Still don't really understand how it gets paid for.
