Hi all,

Yesterday I added a google search bar in the header.  This should give some added search capability that some of you have been asking for.  Let me know if you have any issues with it.  Thanks!

Mike

  • I put "google search bar" in the Google search bar and it couldn't find anything.  It did apologize though, which is nice.

Did you do something to the back page button?

I'm using MS Edge and in two different threads I have been unable to page back to the new items page. Particularly, the thread titled "30+ years....." is one example.

I haven't tried IE yet.

Yes, Edge is a work in progress and I've had problems with other pages that were not HTTP 5.0 literate. If I hadn't moved my favorites bar out of IE into Edge, I would have gone back to IE by now.

Mike I hate to be a PITA, but I put in "fuel injectors" in the google box and got "Sorry, we couldn't find that page".  Also tried "timing hole #2", that's a thread title I started last week.

What am I doing wrong?  Is it like google.com where I have to put in the query then classiczcars.com?  Thanks for any pointers.

tried searching Spindle Pin.... nothing found....

That's strange, I tried the same search term and got 118 results. I'm using IE 11 for my browser. I also like that you can use three letter search terms, like "oil pan".

Maybe it's the OS or browser.  I just tried "spindle pin" and I get nothing.  But it also clears the search bar of the search term, unlike yours which shows what you searched for.  Maybe there's a break in the process.  Might be a clue for Mike.

I also get a different error page when I'm not signed in.

Windows 7 with Chrome.

You aren't logged in though. Maybe another clue?

I re-entered the world of IE, scary and primitive as it is, and find that the problem must be browser-related.  IE works, Chrome doesn't.  Not going back though!.  Never, never, never.  IE must die.
