I'm in the very last stages of my 1978 280Z project and I inadvertently erased the pictures of the underside of my hood and now have no visual references to replace the emissions and AC decals. I went through every forum topic and although there are several references none of the show a picture of the the underside of the 1978 hood with it's factory decals!

Can anyone please help me with this?

Thanks very much!!!

I suppose these are pics of your '77 Z hood, correct? Should they be the same for the 1978 model year? I'm sure I only had 2 decals: the emissions and an AC one. You seem to have another one plus what looks like a spot on the drivers side where another decal is missing.

Thanks very much!!!

I apologize for the poor quality pictures.  I'll get a better shot later today and some measurements if you want.

That extra one on the drivers side is a "recall fix" sticker for the BPT valve.  I'm not too sure about the one that's kind of missing, it may be an upgraded freon sticker?  I'll get something clearer soon!

Thanks again for all the trouble. Would it be the same placement for the 78s? I could have sworn both my decals were on the passenger side only!

I'm not sure about that.  The car hasn't been painted, so I think that's where they belong?  My 240s have just one on the passenger's side though.

I also have a 77 model and the sticker is in the same position as sites. I would seem likely they would be in the same position on the 78.

The BPT valve recall sticker is on the front radiator support at the AFM side. I think the dealer just place them at their own discretion.

Sorry for forgetting this.  The sticker that's been removed has one word I can make out, "Correct", no idea what it was.

And I thought my puppy was house trained to use the doggie flap to go outside to use the restroom.  Wrong!  I found his toilet behind this 280 when I was taking the pictures.  :finger:
