Welcome back to The Classic Zcar Club!  We have made a few changes around here and updated the layout.  Take a look around and feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions.  The changes will benefit most of you with a very easy to navigate system as well as support for both mobile and desktop users.  I'm impressed with these changes and encourage you to take a look at the massive improvements to the gallery, blogs, and downloads area.  Best of all, you'll be able to use this site from your mobile device to post pictures and keep up to speed while you're away from your computer.  Enjoy!

I find the color scheme a bit difficult to read.  Everything is so light in color all of the buttons and different text boxes/windows kind of all blend together.  Probably would be worse on some other screens/platforms with less color accuracy or contrast.  Is there a way to change to a different them, maybe blues of some kind? Anything to get away from the major white blobs

Hello Mike,

I can't seem to find the link to the " main forum, all I get on that page is some links but no forum..

GR BART

Hey Bart, you should see the main forum when you enter our website into your browser. Http://www.classiczcars.com without any directories behind it should get you there. You can also click on community-forums from the top menu. Give it a try.  Can you send me a screenshot of what you are seeing?

What's with the crazy symbols instead of words?  I see that on hybridz too.

It’s good to hear

 didn’t find out

Looking fabulous 😎👍🏼

I think these are left over from the database conversion. It looks like apostrophes are to blame.

Hmm, I'm not seeing this issue.  Can you tell me s little more about your setup?  Computer, monitor, browser version, etc.?

Patcon, this was a good suggestion.  So, I just added a new activity stream called "Unread Topic Stream"..  this new stream should only show you new topics that have replies and won't show you repeats if the same topic has multiple replies.  Give it a try and let me know if this is what you were looking for.

Mike

Yes, much better! Thanks

Maybe its just me, but if you are scrolling through threads and not near the top or bottom menu bars, its just a sea of whites and light greys.  barts picture doesn't look bad because you can see all of the top graphics.  When you are into the meat of a thread trying to differentiate between post text and signature, quoting buttons... etc it gets a little murky.  It's not as bad if you hide signature, but even then I figured maybe there was an alternate color scheme that was user select-able like a lot of other forums have.

If your screen happens to show the greys and whites closer in color... then it gets even more blended together.  My opinion of course, I may also be overly sensitive to it since my job/life has me on the computer a lot and bright color schemes are sometimes a bit much after a day of CAD work.

Also among the missing is a listing of the member's registration number below the avatar on each message.  I liked that feature as it gave me an idea of how long the poster has been a member of the group.  Nice for identifying new guys without going to their profile.

I have a suggestion for the "Unread Topics" activity thing. I've got it now such that I can display the list of recent content for the past day (or more), but when I click on a long multi-page thread, it takes me to the beginning of that thread instead of the last page. Can you change it so that it takes you to the last page of the thread, or maybe display the page numbers and let me choose which page I go to (like it used to)?

To put it another way.. I'm using the recent content feature because I want to see the collection of recent content. And if the goal is the most RECENT content, then I probably want to go to the most recent page of the thread, not the beginning.

Also, as I type this post, I noticed two other things:

1) I can't seem to find the "preview" button, Is there one somewhere that I'm missing?

2) the editor does my paragraph formatting for me instead of letting me decide where to put in paragraph breaks. I can't put in two short lines in sucession without the editor inserting a space for me between the two lines. In other words, the editor thinks it's so smart that it knows where I want line feeds. Can I turn that off and use my own brain to determine where I want my line feeds?

Bart it looks like you may have a bookmark to our old home page.  This was a good find, I just fixed it so others won't have the same problem.  You can modify your bookmark to our main website address it would be better: http://www.classiczcars.com
