umm, yeah

Not what they used to be but still fun I gather from what my friends have told me. Have missed the last 4 due to the wanker factor. Planning on going for one day next year.

The Supernats are getting bigger crowds every year and some nice cars turned up last year. I walked in at midday just as Victor Bray was tearing the strip down in his '57 chev. MY GOD is this machine loud or what? Crowd went crazy and deaf at the same time. Some fine examples of XY GT's (one really nice candy apple red, yumm), Muzzy's aplenty, a Datto ute that lifted 90deg (I $^!# you not the driver was looking into the sky, nearly flipped so he was disqualified from running again), lowest pass was a high 7 by some black torana (forget which).

Oh and the women! I didn't know where to look. You've got a show Muzzy on the left and a classy girl with short shorts (it was over 30deg last year) on the right. Sensory overload. Some really classy girls go to the Supernats, not like what I've seen at the Summernats unfortunately. And you don't get the "Show us yer tits" crowd which is fantastic. No alcohol = no wankers.

Highlight of my day had to be meeting Gary Myers, getting his signiture on a big poster, getting a close look at the car and witnessing "THE KING" absolutely destroy the bitumen with the biggest burnout I've ever seen. Unbfrickingbelievable.
