For Sale New in Box BC Coilovers for 1969 to 1974 S30.  Removed from box, but not installed etc.  

 

3 stud camber plate.  Extended camber plate studs.  Normal lowering (not extreme low).

Are the 240z and 280z setups really that different? I don't know, but would think they could be adapted since the ride heights are so similar..

It's the spindle assy tube diameter that changes I believe. The 280 is a bigger diameter. The ones you have are too skinny for 280's

They'd probably bolt in but the spring rate might be too low, and the ride height, depending on where you wanted it and tires used, etc.  You'd be starting at a lower spot if you used these in a 280Z.

I was under the impression that the transverse link (aka control arm) did get beefed up for the later cars but the dimensions were the same.  The spinlde pin itself appears to have gone unchanged.

Aren't they weld on anyway?  So you could set your own height.  Seems like spring rate would be the only difference, and instructions.  You could call jpn garage to be sure.

I believe they are set up for each car differently. For the price difference I will be ordering a new set of 280 coilovers later this year. Not worth taking chances.

I didn't think about the dampers.  So, for $100 savings, maybe not really a savings for a 280Z.
