I'd like to be able to Ignore a person, and a thread.

One reason, besides general annoyance, is that even though this is generally a wholesome forum, there are things that I don't want to explain to others in a family setting.  Similar to the dating ads that used to pop up (thank you for filtering those out).

Just give us the option to tailor the view.  So we don't have to feel like we're hiding porn, or getting bombarded with ads.

Maybe you could create a mirror image site, call it classiczcarsplus, that has everything.  zcar stuff gets loaded to both, members choose which one they want to log in to.  See which one generates more revenue.  It would be an interesting business experiment.

I have a user Ignored, he shows up on my Ignored list, but the user posts still show up on the 24 Hours page.  And I don't see any Ignore thread options.  I know that you can create a Follow list, which would work if I could Choose All, then deselect one.  That would work but it doesn't seem to be an option.

If you can explain how to Ignore a thread that would be great.  I'd actually have to sign in every time I wanted to look around, which would be a bonus for the site.

I'm not sure why you are seeing the blog entries in the last 24-hour stream because I excluded them.  Did you create a new custom stream of your own?  You can assure blog entries are not shown by deselecting the option in the filter list.  See my screenshot, blog entries are on the bottom.  The Bender Ebay feed is not a thread, it's all in the blog area now.

Sorry Mike, I wasn't talking about blogs I was talking about plain old forum threads.  Boobs.  And one user that only posts in Boobs, and posts a lot, so boobs shows up in 24 Hours often..  Can't ignore the member (it doesn't work) and can't ignore the thread (don't know how).

Sorry again.  It seems so simple.  It could be worse, I realize, like Ratsun.  Can't imagine being over there.

Here's skib's sig...

Ah, I thought you were talking about the bender ebay posts.  If you want to remove a forum from your stream, you can do this by modifying the stream filter.  You can do this by clicking on the little gear next to the "topics" item and pick the forums you want to see.  I realize you'll probably have to select all of them, and make sure the boobs thread is not selected.  I am working with the developers to try and add an exclude forum filter but that is still in the works.  I don't think you can ignore a full topic unfortunately.

ZH, I just added a new feature to ignore topics.  You'll see the option in the upper right when you open a topic.  If you want to ignore it, simply click on the "ignore topic" button. :)
