Just trying to make the site easier to use.  The front page layout is very nice, but there's no "last post" link.  And you can't see who posted or when.  Plus the >> arrow sends you to a locked-up page if you're not logged in.

It's a process!  Thanks for the work Mike.  I have noticed that activity is down lately.  This might help.

My activity is also down lately. I think the main contributor "for me" is Benders blog posts on ebay auctions. He is in my ignore list, but that doesn't work with the blogs. I realize people use the service, but its not for me, no bargins due to shipping etc.

If I use "Unread content" 4 out of 5 hits are Benders. I miss so much. I saw a notification that I was mentioned in a thread about bumper brackets. Didn't know the thread existed until I got the notification.

Mike, Please don't take it as being negative, but its what Im experiencing atm.

This ia the only Zed site I use these days. The reason is IMHO: its the best.

Maybe Bender could have his own "category" that requires a subscription (following) to see.

Or just find a way to block him from unread content.

But as@eurodat mentioned, the@mike tagging etc is wonderful to let people know they are being mentioned or included in a discussion.

When the annoying Bender posts started showing up and dominating the Unread Content, I was ready to bail out of this site after enjoying it for almost 10 years.  Someone suggested clicking on "Topics Last 24 Hours" in the Activity menu instead.  No more Bender!  Problem solved.

I also use "Topics Last 24 Hours", and as well I use the "Create Custom Stream" feature under Activity > My Activity Streams.  It's a bit of work to set up the first time as you have to expand and individually select all of the items you want to see but then you can use that as a template to create other custom streams. I have used this feature to create a "Topics Last Week" stream with no Bender.

Hey guys, I didn't realize you didn't like the Bender posts so much.  I appreciate your patience, because the eBay reciprocal links are are bringing in some much needed income to offset our costs.  I'm currently looking to see if we can filter the Bender posts for supporting members.  

If you're looking to filter the Bender posts from your unread content stream, all you have to do is edit your stream.  I moved the bender posts to the blogs for this reason.  To do this, simply open unread content and edit the filter on the top of the stream.  Here's a screenshot below about how to do it.  In fact, you can filter anything you want using this method.  If you only want to see forum posts, just choose "topics" and that's all you will see.  Hope this helps.

Quick update, I removed the bender posts from the unread activity for all users.  No need to set your filter above unless you want to see the blog entries.

Hi Lumens, thanks for considering a donation.  There are currently two ways to donate to the club, one is on a scheduled basis, and the other is a single donation.  A link can be found on our main page with the Michelin Man graphic (look to the right side).  Or, you can click here.  If you want to do a one-time donation, you can scroll to the bottom in the description.
