Hi guys, just wanted to let you know that I'm experimenting with new ad partnerships.  Some of these ads are annoying and I won't be going with them, but, there are a few that look promising.  I appreciate your patience as I work through the ideas and kinks along the way.

  • BTW, the disruptive ads are now turned off.  They were too damn annoying..

  • Even worse, it will pop-up in a mode that darkens the whole screen.  And it will comeback if there's no activity.  I was about to open this thread to comment and it popped up, like "screw you man, I'm

I got a popup when i visited the site asking if i wanted to take a survey.  I snagged a screenshot of the second popup.  I oppose these types of disruptive ads

Even worse, it will pop-up in a mode that darkens the whole screen.  And it will comeback if there's no activity.  I was about to open this thread to comment and it popped up, like "screw you man, I'm here and you'll just have to take it!"  It had already been here once.  Super buzz-kill Mike, not good!

Ugh, ok I didn't think this advertiser was so annoying.  I already disabled a bunch of annoyances but it doesn't look like I can customize it to fit our needs.

Mike, in case anyone is wondering, here's the really worrying part.  Looks like it's gone.  Did anyone else get it?

I didn't get any reports of this kind of issue.  But, from what it looks like the ad server crashed.  HA, I won't be going with that publisher for sure...

Hmm, looking at dating sites recently?? :)  Just kidding, or you just have cookies turned off which means they show you the first ad that comes up.  Yet another good reason to turn your cookies on.  If you do, you'll only see ads relevant to the other sites you've visited -- eBay, Amazon, etc..

Things have been fine.  They changed as soon as you started your ad publisher experiment.

This has been discussed before though, it's visiting classiczcars.com that causes the weird Asian/Russian/Middle Eastern women dating ads to come up, here and on other sites.  Maybe it's you that's visiting the sites, loading cookies on your server, and you are contaminating all of the members internet browsing?  Don't avoid the obvious, if it's there.  We're all tied together, through this site.

I don't care to be part of the herd with eBay, Amazon, Facebook and everyone else following me all around the internet to see what I'm doing.  So I'll stay on the cookie-free diet.

I do enjoy the site though.  Thanks.
