ABCar Posted November 15, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 15, 2016 A longshot, but never hurts to ask! Please let me know if you have one or both of these items that are half decent at a fair price. Thanks! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/56522-looking-for-early-240z-airbox-and-radio/ Share on other sites

JLPurcell Posted February 19, 2017 Share #3 Posted February 19, 2017 What year air cleaner box are you looking for? Makes a difference. I have the late 71 / 72 / 73 available. 1 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/56522-looking-for-early-240z-airbox-and-radio/#findComment-513376 Share on other sites
Gav240z Posted February 20, 2017 Share #4 Posted February 20, 2017 Also early radio? You mean TM-1081ZB(S)? AM radio? Or the later KM-XXXXX radio with FM tuner found in 72+ 240z's delivered to North America? We only got this style of airbox on 240z's sold in Australia, we never got zee flapper! I'm fairly certain this was the only sticker we got. Going to save the images from that auction for later reference. 26th-Z Posted February 22, 2017 Share #7 Posted February 22, 2017 I don't recognize that sticker and my early cars did not have any stickers on the air box. My air boxes hold the filter element in a different manner. See the semi-circular lips inside to hold the filter in place? Mine don't have that. The outside of the air box is indented to hold the filter and there are much smaller alignment tabs on the inside. I own a number of these air boxes and they are all different in minor ways. I think Kats did a write-up on air filters boxes where he also discussed the different types of wing tip bolts. Gav240z Posted March 7, 2017 Share #8 Posted March 7, 2017 Interesting I've only seen this 1 particular style of airbox used in Australian market cars. But I haven't done an in-depth comparison between boxes fitted to different years admittedly. For your reference I'm attaching a picture of the engine bay of HS30 0004 the earliest known Australian market delivered HS30 and earliest known surviving HS30 for that matter. It has the same sticker it would appear. 1 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/56522-looking-for-early-240z-airbox-and-radio/#findComment-514659 Share on other sites
