My l28 n42/n47 will be needing a bit of head work soon, specifically a valve job.
Wondering if there is anyone located in Washington that has any recommendations for a shop to go to have this done in the near future, probably around January/February.
Western Washington would be preferable, I'm located near Olympia.

I would recommend Autosport in Seattle.  Their machine shop specializes in classic motors, renowned for their work on imports & british stuff.

Used them when I lived in that area, always excellent,  their all car guys.    Ask for Brad

If you need someone to pull the head call Duane Bender at Vintage Motorworks in Kirkland. For someone to work on the head work
Use "c&d engines" in Kirkland.

You know "while you are at it" a little porting and polishing should be completed. Remember a lot of horsepower is generated in the head. Great time to look at a step or two larger cam. Dave Rebello charges $180 for any size you want the last time he quoted me. All based on your budget naturally. Keep us posted
