my new chain kit came with a sprocket that does not the notch. iirc, it is a OSK brand. made in Japan.


This sucks, I was going to buy this one since it was made in Japan. I did buy a used OE cam gear.

Could you use the OE one to measure and grind out a window on your new timing kit?  I think you need that,  I've used it many times on mine.

i am thinking the same thing. the notches on the old cam sprocket seem to line up with the dowel pin holes. shouldnt be too difficult to do
