Jay. Posted July 13, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 13, 2017 As title really. Need some JDM or Euro spec tail lights to make the Z legal over here. siteunseen Posted July 14, 2017 Share #2 Posted July 14, 2017 I think mine are euro lights? Bought them from futofab.com They're red and orange. Patcon Posted July 14, 2017 Share #3 Posted July 14, 2017 @siteunseen Yes those are Euros. They use to be really rare but several people make reproductions now. I would go that route now if I didn't have two sets of "Euros" laying around... Jay. Posted July 14, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted July 14, 2017 I've heard that you can get replacement lenses which would make things easier, as I could then adapt my own lights. I've found a few JDM ones for sale but they're pretty expensive so hopefully someone comes through with a spare set Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/58118-wanted-jdm-tail-lamps-or-euro-spec/#findComment-525693 Share on other sites
Patcon Posted July 14, 2017 Share #5 Posted July 14, 2017 A set of reproduction tail lights was about $400. Lens are probably about half that. Check Yahoo japan auctions too... The lenses from VR are about what a whole set of lights costs... I know there are at least two other vendors that make replacement lenses, but I can't locate them right now. Repro's aren't exactly the same as JDM due to trademark infringement issues 1 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/58118-wanted-jdm-tail-lamps-or-euro-spec/#findComment-525696 Share on other sites

Repro's aren't exactly the same as JDM due to trademark infringement issues Many thanks! I had found the ebay ones, but not the other. Techno Tuning do a set but again they're more expensive than the actual JDM ones. I guess if the lenses aren't much cheaper than a whole set of lights then I may as well go for the whole set! Was hoping to find a set around the 200 mark as that's what the other two guys paid for theirs, so maybe I'll strike lucky! Edited July 14, 2017 by Jay. Jay.
