Popular Post siteunseen Posted July 30, 2017 Popular Post Share #61 Posted July 30, 2017 Apologize and I'm sorry are way traveled down the road. Opinions make all this fun. If you want to be a play like moderator you'll need to go back and read 10 years worth of post. There's a lot of history in play, I suggest stay out of it. We are all grown men and have the choice to ignore or reply. I chose to ignore the silly stuff and pay attention to the facts. HS-30 has a lot of knowledge as does Zed Head. A lot of guys don't agree with me but twice as many do. 5 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/58213-i-have-fairlady-s30-01036need-some-advice/?page=6#findComment-527054 Share on other sites
gwri8 Posted July 31, 2017 Share #62 Posted July 31, 2017 Just saw this on Ebay. It's a 72 Japan car but maybe a starting reference point as to value? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Datsun-Z-Series-240z-/222597966228?hash=item33d3df6994%3Ag%3Aa1YAAOSwqYdZe-yM&vxp=mtr Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/58213-i-have-fairlady-s30-01036need-some-advice/?page=6#findComment-527078 Share on other sites
esmit208 Posted August 9, 2017 Share #63 Posted August 9, 2017 I have been poking my nose at this conversation on and off over the past few weeks. Finally had a chance to chime in. Not sure where and when the insult and apology began and finished but everyone seemed to forget about the car. Maybe the insult just was so subliminal it went right over my head. But back to the car, it seems it was purchased with no exit strategy. Before ANYTHING has been done to it it's value is being assessed. To answer your question about value it's worth nothing to anyone else in it's current state although to you it could be priceless. Not sure I would have thrown in on this one considering the difficulty factor in putting it back on the road. LHD....RHD doesn't really matter to most enthusiasts other than WOW factor. The car in and of itself does that. Bantering price will always get sharp responses because we all value our cars. Price will draw a quicker response than mechanical issues mostly because practically all known issues can be solved mostly because of the expertise of those on this site. Put it back together, document well, don't cut any corners and then come talk to us about what it's worth. Good luck!
