The PO never marked the steering wheel where it was originally, now I need an alignment and want to have the steering wheel in its original position. Is there an alignment mark or something to indicate if the steering wheel is correctly mounted to the steering shaft?

thx

I forgot to mark mine too.  After alignment I just pulled the wheel and put it back on straight while it was still on the alignment rack at the shop.  Before I went I had the horn pad off and the right size socket with me.  Plus the guy was nice as hell. :)

The only thing that is "correct" is putting the wheel on with the rack centered in its travel before installing the steering wheel "straight".  Who knows who's had the column out, or the steering shaft out and put it back in who-knows-where alignment with that factory punch mark.
