I got a message recently from a member so I know the email address is valid.  But no notification of an @.  So far.

I sent mine over 2 hours ago. Hasn't come through yet...

Hey @Patcon and @Zed Head,

Thanks for testing this.  It looks like using the "@" symbol works in the thread post.  It's a bit picky though, because you cannot edit the name or just press enter when it finds the member.  It must be triggered by the "@" symbol and then you have to select the username with your mouse by left clicking the name.  Anyway, the notification is working on the website but it doesn't seem to be sending emails.  It's turned on so I'm not sure why it's not doing it.  Let me do a little checking.

Are you guys getting the website notification in the little alarm next to your username (upper right)?

Hey @Mike.  I've been adding photos by going to "my attachments" under my username in the upper right hand corner forever.  I copy and paste them from the thumbnail, that's the only way I've figured out how to do it.  When I click on the thumbnail it blows up to a larger image with a magnifying glass but won't let me "copy image".  Only the thumbnail allows that.  I've been doing it that way for years and it has worked as far as "blowing up" the image in the thread reply.

I'll try adding one to the "choose files..." and see if that works.  Thanks.  Cliff

EDIT: the cursor is in the bottom photo but it doesn't get any bigger?  Not a problem for me but the person I'm posting the photo for can't see the details.  Anyway, no big deal for me and THANK YOU for all you do for us. Cliff

That's certainly a way to do it.  But, the easier way to do it is by "dragging and dropping" and image to the light blue area underneath the new message window.  If you can't do that for some reason, just use the choose files option.  The icons are a preset size but the image can be clicked to open a larger one by the reader.

This was the original issue that dutchzcarguy was talking about in the second post.  It's still the issue.  The images do open in another window, but they are still tiny, and there's no way to magnify them.  I generally save images to my desktop then reopen them and use my mage viewer tools, but even then the resolution is bad.

Pretty, pretty, pretty sure that we used to get either bigger image when we click on it or there was a +/- magnifyer option.  It's not a huge deal because people can just paste in bigger images, but then the thread gets huge.

Don't know if the software has the ability but images are a big draw.  Here's a tiny image and a big image, for example.  Used "choose files" below.

This is from my vast existing attachments, click on the checkmark to add to message from that window.

This is from "choose files" option then an existing picture on my laptop's documents (pictures).  How can I drag and drop from two separate windows?  One window is the message I'm creating and another window pops up for "my existing attachments".  I know about drag and drop from making music CDs but it's always in the same window.

Let's see if they "blow up". Cliff

If they don't get bigger in the overlay window or have an option for magnifying size in the new window, there's no point in clicking on them.  That's what catches a person's thought - why did I click?  It's the same image.

And, if you hover over the image n its new window, you'll get a little + sign.  But when you click, it stays the same size.

Only adding detail, for problem-solving.
