I get email messages with site content and can't turn it offf...grrrrrr

 

Got an email about receiving a message this morning.  but no others.  Which is good.  I think that you just have to go in to several settings menus to get it right.

Yep, I haven't had any E-Mails from Classic Z since I changed my settings.

Me either since I manually disabled them. Everything's back to normal now. Thank you Mike!

Another thing about the attachments. You can open the smaller ones in another window or with "Paint" and magnify to see anything. Leave them small, cut back on storage to help yourself. We're all minions to what you do anyway. 

Hey guys, just got back and looked into this.  The feature I am talking about is in my screenshot here.  Select these two options and you will no longer get an email for every new piece of content.  Notifications are a good part of bringing members back to the site who aren't on here that frequently.  But, since you guys are on the site almost all the time, it's probably not necessary to have the default values selected (as in my screenshot below).

Anyway, if you only want one a day, consider selecting the ones I have highlighted in red boxes.

Changing those notification settings hasn't worked for me. I changed it to "Do not send me notifications", and I'm still getting them. Lots of them.

One every time anyone responds to any thread that I ever got involved in. In fact, now that I posted in this thread, I'm sure I'll get notifications about this one too.

Haha!! I know I deserve that. 

Yes, I did. And I even went back again later (today even) and confirmed that the changes stuck. I'm sure it'll be found eventually, and until then, I'll just get even more friendly with the delete key than I already am.

Did you open both Settings windows?  Ya gotta click on the little notification bell so it opens in order to get to its Settings menu.  The other Settings menu is under your screen name.

The spams will tell you also what type they are - quotes, mentions, reactions(I think that's what they're called now) - so that you know where they 're coming from.

I am unable to stop it.
