70 Fairlady Z Posted November 30, 2017 Share #1 Posted November 30, 2017 (edited) Any others out there? This one I owned for 30 years, bought it Misawa, Japan circa 1987. I just lost her this year in a shop fire :-( Edited November 30, 2017 by 70 Fairlady Z 1 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/59075-s130-fairlady-z/ Share on other sites
Captain Obvious Posted November 30, 2017 Share #2 Posted November 30, 2017 Yuck. Sorry for your loss. Did the fire start in the engine compartment? Is that why the corners are pried up? To stick the extinguisher in there? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/59075-s130-fairlady-z/#findComment-536279 Share on other sites
Mike Posted November 30, 2017 Share #3 Posted November 30, 2017 Oh man I am SO sorry to see this happen to such a good looking car! You must have been pretty upset at the shop. Even though they likely paid for it, this beautiful classic is gone. Hope you find a good replacement soon. 70 Fairlady Z Posted November 30, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted November 30, 2017 Car next to it was a head on collision with a deer, the shop did not disconnect the battery, after two weeks it decided to catch on fire. Insurance agent, said that this is a common occurrence with deer collisions. I have moved on, insurance treated me right, so please no comments about taking the shop to court...With the funds I received I was able to purchase my 1970 Fairlady Z. Cheers, Kirk 2 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/59075-s130-fairlady-z/#findComment-536292 Share on other sites

Reptoid Overlords Posted November 30, 2017 Share #6 Posted November 30, 2017 Sorry for your loss. Glad it worked out in the end. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get those wheels? Japan I imagine. I have been looking for tasteful replacements for the chrome ones on my pacific blue metallic '80 federal model.
