Does anybody recognize the color of this Z?

Recommended Posts

I'm a very long way from putting color on my 280z but I came across the attached picture and thought it looks great. Had a look through 'Super Street' and followed the google image trail but couldn't find any information. Can anybody here shed any light on the color?

I guess my real question should have been - can/do most body/paint shops have the capability of mixing or ‘matching’ paint to photographs or other media (fabrics, for example) or is this only a high end specialist type of thing?

Also, are most car manufacturers paint codes pretty readily available? I know the higher end brands (Aston Martin, Lamborghini, etc.) tend to have unusual and beautiful colors available for their models, and I’m wondering are these transferable to other vehicles?

Looks close to a Subaru "Village Green".

The Village Green is paint code. PPG44664

I'm pretty sure that is a wrap.  I recall seeing that picture when I looking into doing a wrap on my 240.  They have some pretty good looking wraps available any more, but you need good paint under them. So I when back to just doing the paint.

It's a great colour on the Z, kind of 'Urban Commando'

Can anyone identify that smart looking coupe in the back ground on the flat bed truck? I don't recognize it, may be one of the many cars for the Australian market that we never get?

It looks like it might be an early Skyline.
