I am recently having problems with the google ads in the threads. They are now covering sections of text.

This is happening on my tablet using the normal desktop website. Its just started doing this in the last week or so. Turning off the VPN doesn't help it either.

Anyone else having this problem?

Ain't the internet getting better!   Sort of going like TV did.  Commercials are getting longer than the program.

I've been using AdFender and haven't been experiencing any popup ads.

 

Hmm, thanks for letting me know.  I'll look into it.  I would rather fix it on my end than have you guys install ad blockers.  Ad blockers affect our ratings and income.

Edit:  I think I found the culprit on the Google ad manager....  disabled overlay ads...

Let me know if you guys have any other issues with ads appearing over the top of our content.  This is not something I want to promote.  The only ads I will allow should be built into the site without affecting the user experience.

Isn't that something. Charges going up so I can watch commercials. Seems like they're getting all they can before smart televisions take over.

Has it always been $5 per month. If my memory serves me correctly, it was more. I don't like using an ad blocker because it deprives the site of valuable income.

Problem solved. Bye bye ads.

Do the trees really look like this in Kaatsheuvel?  I would have thought only in Amsterdam...

Worse:

- Now you get commercials before movies in theatres

- Now you get commercials on airplanes

- Now you get commercials/ads in banks

- now you get pop-ups of stupid feature announcements  in programs (like Excel)... Microsoft sucks since Gates left.

Yep. Thats the Efteling, about 1km from where I live. Theme park with wierd trees, fairy talss and roller coaters rides. Gets about 5m visitors per year.
