timsz Posted June 16, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 16, 2018 I have an aluminum driveshaft for my 71. In the pic you can see that the driveshaft yoke will hit the E-brake. MSA has a pic of both stock and aluminum driveshafts side by side. The driveshaft is bigger and the yoke is bigger. Does anyone know what can be done so the E-brake can be used or do I have to go without an E-brake ? Thank you very much. Zed Head Posted June 16, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 16, 2018 That arm does not need to be perpendicular to the axis of rotation to actuate the cable. I think that you'd be fine to pry it away from the yoke to gain clearance. Stick a big screwdriver in that gap and move it. timsz Posted June 16, 2018 Author Share #4 Posted June 16, 2018 A little stiff. I tried to move it before, but i'll try again. It's hard to get at. Can't get tools up in there. I took the cotter pin off the rod yesterday. Removed the rod. Is there easy ways to get cotter pins out when there's no room ? I messed with it and messed with it for an hour or so. Finally it came out. Thank you very much.
