timsz Posted July 13, 2018 Author Share #13 Posted July 13, 2018 I got the brake lights to work. Major accomplishment. I have 2 GR wires and 2 GB wires going to connector by column. Not on wiring diagram. Plus other wires not on diagram. Thank you. SteveJ Posted July 13, 2018 Share #14 Posted July 13, 2018 Post photos that show the wires, connectors, and relative location clearly. Phil Z Posted July 13, 2018 Share #15 Posted July 13, 2018 What about the fuse that keeps blowing? Phil Smith Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/60351-71-msa-fuse-box-question-and-blowing-fuses/?page=2#findComment-552971 Share on other sites
timsz Posted July 13, 2018 Author Share #16 Posted July 13, 2018 I don't know what I did but it's not blowing now. On top of the combo switch, H/L module, their are 2 black wires, 1 goes to the 6 pin connector, then is connected to a GY wire and then goes to the fuse box where there are 2 wires, GL and RL going to the same pin. I thought all black wires were grounds ? Thank you very much. timsz Posted July 14, 2018 Author Share #17 Posted July 14, 2018 Here's a pic of connector with 2 GR and 2 GB wires. It's next to steering column by the other 6 pin connector. The 1 GB wire isn't very visible. SteveJ Posted July 14, 2018 Share #18 Posted July 14, 2018 I am thinking it's for the turn signals, however, I'm not 100%. There shouldn't be a blue/white wire on that connector. The blue/white should be for the wipers. Did someone do some creative wiring in the past?
