hiyabrad Posted September 21, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 21, 2018 Hi All, I just purchased a 1970 240Z with a build date of 6/70 and #6094. I am going to do a frame off restoration back to original as it left the factory. The previous owner installed dual Webers and put the SU's aside (which I have) and threw out the linkage. My question is which balance tube would have been on the car from the factory? And is that the one currently on the car? Thanks in advance! CanTechZ Posted September 22, 2018 Share #2 Posted September 22, 2018 I would say the balance tube pictured looks correct for an early car with the emissions controls, it should have E46 cast into it. I believe there were some minor variations over the years. Here's a link with more info, see the pictures in post #4 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/60804-which-balance-tube-do-i-have-which-one-should-i-have/#findComment-557907 Share on other sites
