I hear these have shorter arms which makes the mirror closer to the top of the car. Is this true? My mirror blocks my road view on downhill right turns. :/ too tall once again.

Not sure on length of arm or angle but the stem is thinner.  You can rotate the mirror so that the wider edge is on the top to get it higher.

Good to know, but doesn't really have anything to do with this thread regarding the early interior rearview mirrors with the red-dot day/night knob.
