Hoovered another HLS30-00007 off road picture for your viewing pleasure.  Note the rubber rear bumper guard, and missing "D" in hubcap

These early Z photos also had similar hub caps:

Some outstanding  photos and information!  Thanks to all that contributed.  Just curious, is the picture below with the model on the 240Z at the Boston Car Show the same model  during that famous incident that put a large dent on the top of the fender?   She doesn't look like she weighs very much, but we all know how soft the fenders are on the 240Zs!

Six Domestic Z's made in Aug 1969.  Only 1 Export....possibly HLS30-00003 which may be this one used in the Factory Service Manual and other technical publications.

A teaser commercial was made in the Summer of 1969 in Japan to promote the Z. Here is the masked Z on the Oppama test track:

Sept 1969. Production was 9 domestics and two exports.  It would seem these two exports align with testing in North America in October. These would be the two cars manufactured 50 years ago:

HLS30-00004 (Silver and Manual)

HLS30-00005 (Silver and Automatic)

They were returned to Japan after testing in Dec 1969. No details on where they are now.
