Awesome -thanks for the info.  Both my 240 shells have the same depression as yours so it makes sense that it is from a later car

The change would have been due to the implementation of retractable seat belts, that began with the 260z.

Wow, in a garage sale?  Who's @zKars garage?  Those are unicorns, nice score.

Thanks!  No.  A random guy who lives 5 mins away from me had a bunch of stuff in his garage and basement.  More on that later ?

Beautiful!  So negative pressure is the lower fans on pulling air from the booth with the roof fans turned off and positive pressure is the reverse, lower fans turned off and roof fans turned on pushing air into the booth?

Close.  Negative pressure with lower fans on 3 and roof fans on 1.  Positive with lower fans on 1 and roof on 3.

Right, 3 speeds,  very versatile.  When it's in use I guess you will spin structure around and open the roll up shop door so you can exhaust the dust or paint fumes out the door?

No.  The shop has a draw though exhaust that flows in the same direction - intake louver by the door, exhaust fan on the back wall.   I considered hooking it directly to the booth but it flows too much air.

Got a chance to test the painting in the prep booth with some rattle can 2k epoxy primer....

It worked great .  You can see where the overspray got drawn into the filters ....

Parts came out fine ... welding them in tomorrow hopefully....

Rattle can epoxy primer is ridiculously expensive though.  $23 and that took the whole can ...so definitely a laziness tax included in the price.

Yup, I got suckered into buying a can too. What a waste....

HVLP guns are so easy to use and the results are better. Can't wait to see this project move into high gear!

Thanks  - I am back in action through April!
