How do you plates the stoppers with the springs? Disassemble?

Charles,

I remove the springs, leave the nylon wedges in place. Plating leaves a residue on the nylon which I scrape off. Springs go on a wire to not lose in the process, insert after the nylon wedge is clean, add the New  bumper from 240zrubberparts and done.
