Is it just me or is anybody else getting a pop-up from classiczcars.com on start up?

When I first power on my laptop I get this box down in the right bottom corner.

Annoying when I haven't even visited the forum.  It's taken over my computer and I don't like it.  Cliff

After a bit I think I may have it nipped.  Will know the next time I have to break out the laptop.

@siteunseen Yup, I started getting them a few days ago. The ads don't reflect my browsing and always reference this site. I haven't figured out how to get rid of them. Let me know if you figure it out.

Same thing happening here so if you have it fixed share with us Cliff .

You can block browser notifications: click the gear icon, then find classiczcars.com in the site list. Hit the options menu (three dots) and select block.

You can also block browser notifications entirely, which will stop, like, every site you visit from bugging you with a notifications permission request popup.

Yep! Click those three dots then it goes to NOTIFICATIONS enter "hhtps://www.classiczcars.com" then BLOCK toggle then SAVE.

I don't mind when I'm on the site helping others but on start up, no sir!

Yeah, this is happening with me as well.  I'm currently working on figuring out where they are coming from.  The notifications have random content and have nothing to do with our club, which is why I want them disabled.

FYI, if you disable browser notifications, you will no longer receive notices from the site (the real ones).  I recommend sticking through it until I figure out what's going on.

Edit:  I am beginning to wonder if this is something new from Google.  I went through and changed some ad options on the Adsense website this evening.  I'll keep an eye out to see if it fixed the issue.

Gents, I wanted to let you know I fixed this problem.  It was a new advertising option that I chose to join.  I wanted to give it a try to bring in some extra money for the site, but, it looks like the ads didn't live up to their promises.  Instead of giving us relevant ads, they simply started sending clickbait.  I can't stand clickbait and won't subject this to you guys either.  I have shut down the option so there should be no more clickbait traffic coming through the notification system.  Please let me know if you see any more of these pop ups and I'll pick up my virtual hammer and start swinging it around...

Mike
