Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Jim Shim. Nice ring to it. Add it to the list. “About Time” is leading in my book. Quite an advanced concept really. The onesix has it’s own base, this thing won’t help. Zed Head Posted March 26, 2020 Share #28 Posted March 26, 2020 "No Worries Distributor Mounting Plate". "Mistake-Be-Gone" "Doesn't Matter Mounting Plate." It's not really a shim, is it? Persimmon240 Posted March 26, 2020 Share #29 Posted March 26, 2020 Regarding the hold down bolt coming lose - I believe it already has a lock washer on it. You could also indicate in the install instructions (if required) that a wee dollop of blue thread locker might be advised. How many instances of the stock plate anchoring setup loosening up have been recorded? Patcon Posted March 27, 2020 Share #32 Posted March 27, 2020 There are small scale engraving tables that run off of a computer. They use a router to do the engraving. Get's the engraving done and a new tool for the shop Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/63749-new-product-idea-distributor-timing-plate-re-design/?page=3#findComment-595557 Share on other sites
Jeff G 78 Posted March 27, 2020 Share #33 Posted March 27, 2020 (edited) How about calling it the "1125 Plate" since that's what none of us can ever get right the first time. ? Or... just call it the "Clock Plate" Edited March 27, 2020 by Jeff G 78 4 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/63749-new-product-idea-distributor-timing-plate-re-design/?page=3#findComment-595561 Share on other sites

Captain Obvious Posted March 27, 2020 Share #36 Posted March 27, 2020 Well that would be perfect. If I need a dial engraved, I'll pay you to do it. I don't have anything in my shop that's CNC. In fact, I think all my machines are older than I am.
