  • Same here. I wonder if I'm addicted to this forum. It felt like I was going thru withdrawals yesterday.

  • I don't know what to make of today's ad.  It's new.

  • Yuck, server was offline Sunday.  Sorry guys, there was an issue at our host and I didn't know about it until later on in the afternoon.  All fixed now of course.

  • 5 months later...

I have been on the site much this past year but now that I'm back I'm noticing how long it's taken to load the next page.

I read a thread, hit the return arrow and it takes 10-15 sec to go back one page, what's happening, any way to get around it?

Thanks

I don’t know how to resolve it, but I too have issues with the pages of this forum loading slowly, sometimes not at all. I’ve tried clearing the cache, rebooting my computer and the various devices I use, different browsers, nothing works.

At first I was blaming it on my ISP, Ziply Fiber, but other web forums and sites load reasonably well.

I dunno, @Mike has been aware of it, and worked on settings behind the scenes. It will work OK for a bit, then back to dial up speeds.

I open my unreads topics page. There might be 5 threads or 25 threads that are new or have new posts.

I then right click on the star or bullet beside the thread topic. That gives me the option to open in a new tab. I'll open 15 or 20 tabs. I let them load while I read the first one. That way I don't spend time waiting on them to load.

I have employed that strategy too.
