I used Nissan. Get the part number and your local dealership can get one overnight usually. Mine did.

Or buy online from Courtesy Nissan.

Oh yeah, you'll need the 2 side seals also. Again, Nissan has those as well.

is nissan the best seal to buy or is there a better brand to use

Nissan is very good seal..  i also used elring from germany.  for my L28 rear it's 80x100x10 = elring 546941     i asume the L24 and L26 have the same diameter.

that is great info  , so the nissan seals are better than timken and national seals ? I do not care about price of the parts , I just want to do this once as you know what I mean . haha

From all I read before rebuilding my motor, there's a lot of build threads on here too , it was suggested to buy as much Nissan as possible. I've built 2 and have zero leaks. The side seals are tricky to install the right way. They have grooves on one side and an angle on one end. Once you get that figured out my best advice was from @Diseazd about inserting them with the cap half way down. It's a lot easier that way and when you get them set tighten the cap down snip the excess off and use some black oil resistant RTV on top of the cap when putting the pan on.

I couldn't find anything right off but here's the threads I read. Good luck, take your time and you'll be fine, no leaks.
