z8987 Posted February 15, 2021 Share #1 Posted February 15, 2021 I found this on the net. This guy is emailing me trying to sell me this car. According to him he’s out of the country and is using https://www.buffalosalesllc.com/how.php to handle the transaction. the original post https://www.classifiedads.com/cars/w12w6kfx73zb7 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/65072-is-this-real/ Share on other sites
Zed Head Posted February 15, 2021 Share #2 Posted February 15, 2021 The ad web site and the transaction company both seem sketchy to me. Why not use eBay and Paypal? Bigger audience, proven transaction company. Why use a company in Buffalo, and sell the car in Sacramento? Plus Peter Bateman is out of country? I wouldn't do it, myself. It might be legitimate, but I'd need a lot more pictures of the typical rust areas to even consider it. I'd assume the sale is "you get what you see". There's a lot unseen, for that money. https://www.buffalosalesllc.com/why.php Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/65072-is-this-real/#findComment-616184 Share on other sites

siteunseen Posted February 15, 2021 Share #4 Posted February 15, 2021 Yeah those pictures look familiar. I'm on my phone and can't do it but try a backwards image search on that last picture. Put the cursor on it then S and right click at the same time. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/65072-is-this-real/#findComment-616187 Share on other sites
Zed Head Posted February 15, 2021 Share #5 Posted February 15, 2021 The ad copy looked familiar to me also. I searched the first sentence and found several similar ads, even using the same odd capitalization. https://www.google.com/search?q=This+is+a+Super+Rare%2C+Original+Ultra-Low+Vin+Series+1+240Z+in+extremely+nice&rlz=1C1SQJL_enUS862US862&oq=This+is+a+Super+Rare%2C+Original+Ultra-Low+Vin+Series+1+240Z+in+extremely+nice&aqs=chrome..69i57&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/65072-is-this-real/#findComment-616188 Share on other sites

I just asked him if a friend can go inspect the car in NY. He said due to covid, no. But I can have a 7 day inspection period, with free return shipping. He will ship it to California, with free return shipping. What a dumb arse.
