Hi all,

For those of you who like to browse the website at night, from bed, or in a dark room -- I've added a new dark mode to the site.  This mode is easier on the eyes when browsing in these conditions.  I especially like it when I'm on my tablet and the bright backgrounds from our default page is just too much for my eyes to handle.

You can choose the dark mode by changing the "Theme" at the bottom of the page.

I've gone through most of the colors to make sure they work in this mode.  But, if you find an example of a color match that doesn't look right, please take a screenshot and reply here.  Thanks!

Just noticed some of the ads are coming through pretty bright and some attachments are also the same.  I'll be working on those next.

So strange I tried Dark mode on my iPhone and it looked like it got signed out of the site. I’m not able to sign back into the website, it errors out. Had to close the tab, and return to the website in the lite mode and it works.

Hihi... yeah.. computers hey..

What i wanted to say... i work on a desktop, and.. from today all my text is on the left 3/4 of the screen, before was the text of a thread over the entire width.

No problem.. it's just getting smaller..

EDIT: and edit is under a knob in top right now.. 🙂

I think the site was offline for a little while last night. That normally makes Tapatalk ask you to login!

I just changed a setting to make the width stretch to the size of the browser window.  It should be ok now.

Ah, I was wondering because I was editing things yesterday.  if you can use dark mode now, all good....

That said, I think some of the colors on the dark mode setting needs some work.  I'll be going through this as I find more colors or things to make it easier to read.  If you run into anything please send a screenshot and let me know what you see or how it should look anyway.

I am grateful for a dark mode, for every forum I am active in that has one, that is the mode I choose, even for daytime browsing.

 

But.

 

The switch to change themes is only available on the forum home page, and absent from all other pages. No big deal for me, as once I make the choice, I won’t be going back.

I tried to make a screenshot (how the H*** do i do that..) argh.. forget it..  i got still only 3/4 on the left side of the screen..

(This is when i got the screensize on 100%, if i go to 125% it's 2/3 th of screen and at 175% screensize setting the whole screen gets used but the letters are then really BIG!  I use windows 10 on a desktop computer..)

It looks really good to me, back as close to the same as I remember with a few new tweaks that I like. It reminds me of our cars, they're never finished. Mike will get it where everyone's happy just give him some time. 

To do the screenshot on my HP laptop on the top row of keys more to the right side there's a button that says "print screen, PRT SC" on mine. Push it then put the cursor where you want the screen shot, right click and click on PASTE.

Thanks Site!  Never had to use it.. the screenshot is with zoom function on 100%

as sayd at 125 % it gets smaller and on 175 the full witdth is used but the letters get very BIG.
