The pump has good compression still. I dont like any accesory that isnt vital... Damn straight that's why I don't want to add much to my car or chop up the loom to install stuff. I will install a alarm and probably central locking but even that to me is like doing something I shouldn't.I will install a stereo but I try to stay away from aftermarket rubbish like CB radio's (my old Z had one) and thermofan's unless I go turbo one day.It might interest you to know that A/C was offered as an option on 240z's and came stock on AUS spec 260z's as far as I know anyway.I would install it but Courtesy parts price tag tells a tale as to why I haven't and probably won't for a long time if ever.It might also interest you to know that car reviews back in the 70's did mention that the Z's cockpit was humid on a hot day. The Later ZG's came with A/C and hence that's why there was 2 types of Gnose to prevent overheating.Something to consider if you have an early 240z you will want a 4 core radiator to stop overheating.I think early Z's only had 3 or even 2?? not 100% sure. CB's are ok Gav if you use them right. I love them but only the hand held two ways. I wouldn't install a permanent CB unit either. They are the best tool when cruising in a big pack. Keeps you entertained and keeps everyone together. For $99 from Tandy, that has to be the best mod I've bought for my car. Oh the fun of it all . One of the things I liked about my car so much was the fact that it was so original and nearly everything electrical was still working. I hope I'm not the one to butcher the wiring installing stereo equipment :classic: . The bloke who bought it turned up to the Niss/Dat Sports Owners meeting last week and we all got to see it. Mind you, since you sold it he's spent about $3k on it... The air-con was plumbed in using an original kit too... Gee Posted June 10, 2003 Share #12 Posted June 10, 2003 He's a pretty proud owner. Someone at the place he got the A/C done scratched the door, so he was pretty pissed off. Other than that it seems to be the most rust free z I've ever seen (non restored), tis a shame I bought mine a few weeks before as I would have travelled to Sydney for it.
