Amp meter getting to much power....

The shunt is the low resistance resistor across which the amp meter measures a voltageto derermine the current in the charging circuit.

If you have an ohm meter, there should be very little (practically zero) resistance across the leads of the amp meter.

(Does anyone know if the shunt is internal or external on the Z Amp meters?)
