frankensteinZ Posted June 23, 2003 Share #1 Posted June 23, 2003 How's it going everybody. I have been trying to get a part for my thermostat housing and no one has it. I tried Msa, victoria, and the nissan dealer, no luck. What I am looking for is part of the thermostat housing. It is a hose connector to the thermostat housing. It is off a 72 240z. The housing directs water in two routes from the housing. One is directly into the engine where it is bolted on at and the other is through a hose that goes into the intake manifold. There is a connector that screws into the housing that the hose going to the intake manifold attaches to. This connector is what I am looking for. I can't believe something this simple is keeping my car in the garage but it is. Anyone have a clue where I can find this part?Frankenstein Z Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/6749-thermostat-housing/ Share on other sites
Daniel Posted June 23, 2003 Share #2 Posted June 23, 2003 Most people just screw a plumbing pipe plug(hardware store) into it and eliminate the intake water supply. It's not required. If you want it plug it and keep looking. At least you can drive the car.Make sure its a plumbing plug. There are electrical types. The difference is all plumbing thread are tapered to seal.Others are just straight threads.Compare them and you'll see what I mean.
