SpeedRoo Posted November 5, 2023 Share #1 Posted November 5, 2023 Looking for a throttle/accelerator bell crank for a 1970 240Z. Will be refurbished so doesn't have to be perfect. Patcon Posted November 6, 2023 Share #2 Posted November 6, 2023 Is it unique to 70? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/68661-240z-bell-crank/#findComment-659110 Share on other sites

I believe it may have been used until mid 1972 when they changed to a version with a shorter round section. 1 1 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/68661-240z-bell-crank/#findComment-659111 Share on other sites
Terrapin Z Posted November 7, 2023 Share #4 Posted November 7, 2023 Interesting, I have 4 different ones, the other one is the short shaft. In looking them up online, the pages all say they fit 70-78 ?? Yours looks like the top one, and that one I found listed online as for a 280Z. The bottom one comes up as the early 70-71 style. I can't even find the middle one. Maybe a Roadster or something other than Z. I did not look too hard. 2 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/68661-240z-bell-crank/#findComment-659130 Share on other sites
SpeedRoo Posted November 7, 2023 Author Share #5 Posted November 7, 2023 Thanks @Terrapin Z I'll take a picture of the ones I have on 8802 and 10991 and post them. I'm looking for one to go on 3801 (May 1970). It should be like this one on 4684 (May 1970). Terrapin Z Posted November 7, 2023 Share #6 Posted November 7, 2023 That one looks like the bottom one in my pic.(off a 71). You see the top is flat across. There is a drop on the bottom The one in your original post was jogged upwards like the top one in my pic. I believe you are correct, that's the one I need if anyone has a spare they would like to sell. And to clarify further, there is one for the round top. The last part number is for the flat tops. I'll look to see what are on my 73 & 74 if I can remember by the time I get home.
