thats the problem, with all the squeeks u spend all your time doing a quality install of stereo, only to not be able to hear the superior quality aound over the car noises! Not complaining about my 2.5" exhaust note though

you can always go the way i did and get an antenna to stick on glass put mine on top of the hatch no holes in the body to spoil the body lines antenna is only about 8" long so you hardly notice it works ok even here in tassie where we have lots of hills and few radio stations

If you are running the stock electric antenna you are kinda stuck with the switch. The old or stock style antenna did not have anything that would stop the motor from running till you let off the switch. I am sure there is a way that you could hook up a relay for it to work. But how is unknown to me :stupid:

I would say buy a new style power antenna. Then its just the one wire from the head unit (the blue one) and your done. Just make sure if you use the older brush style car wash you shut off the radio off or it will get bent or broken real fast.

Thanks for all the info everyone. I went ahead and hooked the antenna up with the standard manual switch. Victor.
