DocBombay Posted September 16, 2003 Share #7 Posted September 16, 2003 More weight is saved with a hatch or doors than the hood. Does anyone make a CF or fiberglass hatch? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/7193-cf-hood/#findComment-49969 Share on other sites
Alfadog Posted September 16, 2003 Share #8 Posted September 16, 2003 I dunno what I'm talking about, but would you WANT to lighten the rear end of the Z? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/7193-cf-hood/#findComment-49973 Share on other sites
240Zdragon72 Posted September 17, 2003 Share #9 Posted September 17, 2003 I would think you need some weight on the back for traction? Or I could be wrong. :stupid: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/7193-cf-hood/#findComment-49985 Share on other sites

MicksZ Posted September 17, 2003 Share #11 Posted September 17, 2003 The one advantage is they look sick as!!! I reckon my orange zed with a carbon fibre dash would be awesome!!! MicksZ Posted September 17, 2003 Share #12 Posted September 17, 2003 SORRY - bonnet not dash - dash would look good though!I think the carbon bonnet is all for asthetics, weight saving is very marginal, and if u were wanting to save weight seriously you would get a fibreglass boinnet for cost reasons.
