seerex Posted November 20, 2003 Share #1 Posted November 20, 2003 ok I went with all of your suggestions and got the turbo exhaust from msa , hhm does anyone have a pic of it installed on their car so I can make sure to get on correctly , I know you are saying it only goes on one way but I am sure I can find another way <especially the wrong one> also does the tip have to be welded on at a muffler shop? and is recommend having a muffler shop tack it after I get it bolted in? any thoughts would be great thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/8967-msa-turbo-exhaust-install/ Share on other sites

thefastestz Posted November 23, 2003 Share #3 Posted November 23, 2003 I know they say no welding required but when after a week the the longest pipe fell off.I just went to a muffler shop and paid the $30 to get it welded on.No problems after thatPS i also had added a 6-1 header. seerex Posted November 23, 2003 Author Share #4 Posted November 23, 2003 I also have the 6 into 1 header, thinkng of getting it up there and tight then have someone touch it up a bit , not a muffler guy Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/8967-msa-turbo-exhaust-install/#findComment-58055 Share on other sites
Smokey Posted November 23, 2003 Share #5 Posted November 23, 2003 Get the header coated by Jet Hot, or at the very least wrap it in thermal wrap. Headers get very hot, which will affect the intake air temp. Lower temps=higher output. dogma420 Posted January 13, 2004 Share #8 Posted January 13, 2004 Do the coating yourself and save $$$$$http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=3895&prmenbr=361Works well did this myself.Question as well---I use the 3 into 2 msa header....what does everyone think of this setup vs. equal length 6 into 1?
